Immigrants are people who don’t have paper so they can’t get any jobs. I think is not fair they can not have paper to work. Because there a large population in D.C. I think children should be allowed to cross from Mexico to the United States, because they are just kids that don’t know what they are going through. It is estimated that “6,460 underage illegal immigrants from Central America were detained in the United States while traveling without their parents and sent to government shelters.” I think that is not fair because they are just kids and because how they want them to travel with there parents and they might not have no parent so I think the government should give all kids paper so they could travel with out no problem and I also think these people who do all the laws are dumb because kids just want to come here to get a good education.

It bothers me that people who come here from other countries are treated unfairly. At the same time, I think it's important that the laws apply to everyone who comes here. Whether or not we think it's right, the government will always want to enforce the rule of law.
By "paper" do you mean work permits for illegal immigrants? Or do you just mean some document about people who come to the US?
What I meant by "papers" is either working permits, residency, or citizenship. And Joe, I do agree that the law should be respected but sometimes they are not fair. For example, slavery was once legal and that didn't mean that it was right.
What kind of "government shelters" are the kids put in once they are detained? Are the shelters in the US, or in the kid's native country?
I think you made a very good point about slavery once being legal. What bothers me is that they are just kids, alot of them may not have even decided to come here and so they shouldnt be detained like they did something wrong.
But do you think that if the government gave all kids papers to come that there would be too many people in the US?
